This is a wonderful, extremely easy, alcohol-based punch to serve around Halloween time. I served it at a party last weekend and it was the first thing to go! Sherbet scooped on top gives a gross and slimy witches' brew, Halloween look! SO TASTY for being so GROSS-looking!

non-latex plastic glove (optional)
1 cup water, as needed
2 (1.5 fluid ounce) jiggers grenadine syrup, or as desired
large plastic cauldron (from party store)
2 gallons orange juice
2 (2 liter) bottles lemon-lime soda
1 liter vodka
2 (750 milliliter) bottles champagne
2 gallons orange sherbet
1 cup peeled green grapes

Steps:

Fill plastic glove with water, pour in the grenadine, and secure the glove closed with a rubber band. Freeze until solid, 4 to 5 hours.
Lightly stir the orange juice, lemon-lime soda, vodka, and champagne together in the cauldron; add the orange sherbet in large scoops. Allow the sherbet to melt and form an orange layer over the punch. Float the peeled grapes on the mixture. Carefully peel the glove from the grenadine ice hand and float the ice hand in the punch to serve.

6 ounces pkg. cherry gelatin mix
2 cups sugar
4 cups boiling water
¾ cup frozen lemonade concentrate
48 ounces can pineapple juice
4?½ cups cold water
1 to 2 2-ltr. bottles lemon-lime soda, chilled

Steps:

Stir gelatin mix and sugar into boiling water until completely dissolved. Add lemonade and pineapple juice; mix well. Blend in cold water. Pour mixture into gallon-size plastic freezer bags; freeze overnight. Remove bags from the freezer 2 hours before serving; knead slightly while in bag. Place mixture in a punch bowl, adding desired amount of soda.
To make the floating hand, rinse out a disposable plastic glove. Fill with water that has been colored with green food coloring. Freeze until firm. Remove glove by running cold water over the glove. Cut away some of the plastic glove and gently remove hand. Float ice hand in punch bowl.

NOTE: I use the cauldron in conjunction with the punch bowl because sometimes guests will have a little too much to drink and I am afraid that they will swallow a large chunk of dry ice, so I put regular ice in the punch bowl and sit it on top of the cauldron which holds the dry ice to give the smokey and spooky effect or I may place regular ice in a separate bowl and place it near the punch. Dry ice will sink to the bottom of a drink "cauldron". If more cooling is needed, do not add regular ice to the cauldron, instead add it to individual drink glasses. Do not allow dry ice to come in contact with bare skin or other bodily tissue. Keep the dry ice in its packaging at all times. Dry ice has a temperature of -79°C and direct contact can cause freeze burns. If you must handle dry ice, use heavy duty gloves. Always handle and store dry ice in well ventilated areas. Carbon dioxide gas is heavier than air. If it is allowed to accumulate in poorly ventilated areas such as boat holds, cellars, cars and vans, it can become a safety hazard, as it will displace oxygen and could lead to asphyxiation. Do not leave coolers in closed vehicles for extended periods and always make sure a window is open. Adequately ventilate areas before entering. Do not place dry ice in airtight containers such as stoppered glass jars, bottles or other sealed containers as they could explode. Do not store dry ice in refrigerators or freezers. Store in the best insulated cooler possible. Do not pack dry ice in direct contact with glass bottles, jars, etc. as the glass could crack and shatter; use non-glass containers. If the block is to be reduced in size by breaking or cutting, leave it in the packaging provided to avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not use dry ice in individual drinks. Use only in large punch bowls for effect. Under no circumstances should dry ice be placed in the mouth.

First find a nice round pumpkin,(about 8-10 pounds big enough to holdd 25 cups liquid)) make a large opening on the stem end. Scoop out the insides with the seeds and all(save the seeds for later recipe).Place a large glass bowl inside cleaned out pumpkin or line the inside of the pumpkin with foil and crimp it all around the top. This pumpkin becomes your punch bowl. Take a black felt pen and write on the side "Witches Brew".

Make this in the pumpkin above. Dissolve the jell-o in 1 c. boiling water. Stir in pineapple- orange concentrate,undiluted. Add apple juice and 3 c cold water. Carefully pour in chilled ginger ale or 7-UP. Float orange juice ice cubes on top, or scoops of orange sherbet. You might want to add a piece of dry ice to float in the punch too- for that creepy smoke effect!
