1 package (6 ounces) long grain and wild rice mix
1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Cook rice according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; add the rice and sausage. , Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour.

1 carton (32 oz) Progresso™ chicken broth
1/2 cup uncooked wild rice, rinsed
1 1/2 cups uncooked regular long-grain white rice
1/2 lb bulk pork sausage
3/4 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion

Steps:

  • In large saucepan, bring chicken broth to boiling. Add wild rice; cover and simmer 40 minutes. Add white rice; cover and simmer an additional 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Drain off any remaining liquid.
  • Meanwhile, in large skillet, cook sausage, celery and onion until sausage is no longer pink, stirring frequently. Drain. Combine sausage mixture and rice mixture.
  • Use to stuff turkey, or place in greased 2-quart casserole or glass baking dish and cover with foil; bake at 350°F. for 25 to 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
