Can Dogs Eat Pasta? Pros & Cons + 3 Best Recipes Included! image

Provided by Canine Chef Cook Book

Prep Time 25 minutes

Number Of Ingredients 15

2 lbs Ground chuck or beef
1 lb Pork (ground)
3 tbsp Light olive oil
2 Green peppers
2 (14.5 oz.) Cans diced tomatoes
2 tbsp Parsley
1 tsp Basil
1/2 tsp Rosemary
1/4 tsp Turmeric
1/4 tsp Sea salt
1 1/2 tsp Egg shell (ground)
2 (6 oz.) Cans tomato paste
4 cups Water
1 (16 oz.) Package spaghetti (cooked)
1 (2.5 oz.) Can black olives

Steps:

  • Brown meat in the olive oil in a large Dutch Oven or stock pot.
  • Finely chop olives and green peppers. I use a food processor so I also chop the diced tomatoes. Add to the pot.
  • Stir in the seasonings.
  • Combine the tomato paste and water. Stir into the pot.
  • Simmer covered until the green peppers are soft giving the flavors time to meld.
  • Cook the spaghetti just past the al dente point. Strain and rinse. Set aside.
  • Remove from heat and mix in the cooked spaghetti.

CAN DOGS EAT TUNA? PROS & CONS + 3 BEST RECIPES INCLUDED!

Can Dogs Eat Tuna? Pros & Cons + 3 Best Recipes Included! image

Provided by Brita

Total Time 20 minutes

Prep Time 15 minutes

Cook Time 5 minutes

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 Large potatoes (peeled and chopped)
4 oz Frozen peas
1 Large can of tuna
2 cans Albacore tuna
2 Large eggs (hardboiled and chopped)
Large handful of parsley (chopped and divided)

Steps:

  • Boil the potatoes in unsalted water until tender. Let cool and then thoroughly mash them. Mix in ~1/4 of your parsley. The potatoes might be a bit dry but don’t add anything to them.
  • Cook the peas according to the packaging.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the salmon, tuna, remaining parsley, chopped boiled eggs, and peas.
  • You can either mix in the potatoes or, as I did, serve the potatoes stacked on top of the fish mixture.
  • Form into patties appropriate to the size of your dog and serve!
  • Store the rest in the fridge for up to 3 days.
