APPLEWOOD BACON JALAPENO POPPERS – PIT BOSS GRILLS

2 Teaspoon Pit Boss Applewood Bacon Seasoning
1 Pack Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
1 Pack Cream Cheese, Softened
Cut in Half Lengthwise, Destemmed, Deveined and Deseeded Jalapeno Peppers
8 Strips Smoked Applewood Bacon, Cut in Half
Grill Basket
Toothpicks
For a lighter cheese, stuff the jalapenos with goat cheese.
Pit Boss Apple Harwood Pellets
or
Pit Boss Hickory Hardwood Pellets

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, Applewood Bacon seasoning and cheddar cheese. Mix until completely combined.
  • Using a spoon, fill the peppers with the cream cheese mixture. Wrap each pepper with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Repeat until all jalapeno poppers are finished.
  • Preheat your Pit Boss Grill to 400°F. Place your jalapeno poppers on the grill basket and grill for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is cooked and crispy.
  • Serve and Enjoy!

10 to 15 medium jalapeño peppers
5 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Italian Blend
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
12 ounces bulk Italian sausage, cooked
5 to 8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Italian Blend cut into 4 strips, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  • Cut top off each pepper; cut each in half lengthwise. Scoop out center membrane and seeds; set aside.
  • Place 5 slices cheese in food processor bowl fitted with metal blade. Pulse until crumbled. Add cream cheese; pulse until well combined. Combine cheese mixture and sausage in medium bowl.
  • Spoon mixture into large resealable freezer bag; cut off 1 corner. Pipe filling into each pepper half.
  • Place peppers onto prepared baking sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes or until peppers are softened and cheese is lightly browned.
  • Place 1 strip cheese onto each popper, if desired. Bake 1-2 minutes or until melted. Serve warm.
