Yield 10-12 dumplings

2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk
1 egg

Steps:

  • Mix dry ingredients.
  • Add milk and egg and stir to make soft dough.
  • Add 3 quarts of water to a large pot or Dutch oven.
  • Put 1 tsp salt and 1 Tbsp oil in water and bring to boil.
  • Drop dough by tablespoonful into boiling water.
  • Boil five minutes on one side.
  • Turn and boil another five minutes.
  • Remove from water.
