ITALIAN SUBS - RESTAURANT STYLE RECIPE | ALLRECIPES
This is a classic Italian sub sandwich with three kinds of meat and provolone cheese. The kind you get in a mom and pop pizza joint. You'll be glad you tried it!

Steps:
- In a large bowl, toss together the lettuce, tomatoes and onion. In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, white wine vinegar, parsley, garlic, basil, red pepper flakes and oregano. Pour over the salad, and toss to coat evenly. Refrigerate for about 1 hour.
- Spread the submarine rolls open, and layer the Capacola, salami, prosciutto, and provolone cheese evenly on each roll. Top with some of the salad, and as many pickle slices as desired. Close the rolls and serve.

Steps:
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, garlic and cheese.
- Using clean hands, mix all the ingredients and form small meatballs, about 1/8th cup each.
- In a small saute pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and saute until golden, being careful not to burn.
- Pour crushed tomatoes into the crock pot with bay leaf. Add garlic and oil.
- Drop meatballs into the sauce, cover and set crock pot to low, 4 to 6 hours.
- When meatballs are ready, adjust salt and pepper to taste and add fresh chopped basil or parsley.
- Serve with ricotta, over pasta or enjoy with French bread.
