Sure, we could use powdered citric acid, or sour salt. But then we still need to figure out the "lemon juice solids" part. Ah, but wait, there's citric acid and lemon juice solids in Kool-Aid unsweetened lemonade drink mix. It's perfect! - In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook sausage and onion until no longer pink, breaking into crumbles, 5-7 minutes. Drain, discarding all but 2 tablespoons of drippings. Stir in flour. Gradually stir in milk. Add seasonings. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened 2-3 minutes. Serve over biscuits.
