This simple tomato soup has my heart! Try it easy to make recipe now and brighten your grilled cheese meal!

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 tbsp Unsalted butter or margarine
1 tbsp olive oil
1 Onion
2 Garlic cloves
2 cans whole Peeled tomatoes
1 cup Water
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
ground black pepper (for taste)
1 pinch Red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp Celery seed
1/4 tsp dried oregano

Steps:

  • Take a large saucepan and heat olive oil and butter in it on medium-low heat. Cook garlic and onion until soft and tender. Add water, tomatoes, salt, sugar, red pepper flakes, pepper, oregano, and celery seed. Boil the dish lightly. Decrease flame and simmer for 15 min after covering it.
  • Take it away from flame and use an immersion blender to puree. Add salt and pepper, heat soup until warm.

Who doesn't love a good grilled cheese sandwich recipe? This super decadent version comes fully loaded with pepperoni and five types of cheese!—Josh Rink, Taste of Home Food Stylist

Number Of Ingredients 10

6 tablespoons butter, softened, divided
8 slices sourdough bread
1/2 cup shredded sharp white cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
3 tablespoons finely shredded Manchego or Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
24 slices slices pepperoni
4 ounces Brie cheese, rind removed and sliced

Steps:

  • Spread 3 tablespoons butter on 1 side of bread slices. Place bread, butter side down, in a large cast-iron skillet or electric griddle over medium-low heat until golden brown, 2-3 minutes; remove. In a small bowl, combine cheddar, Monterey Jack and Gruyere. In another bowl, mix together remaining 3 tablespoons butter, mayonnaise, Manchego cheese and onion powder., To assemble sandwiches, top toasted side of 4 bread slices with pepperoni; add sliced Brie. Sprinkle cheddar cheese mixture evenly over Brie. Top with remaining bread slices, toasted side facing inward. Spread the butter-mayonnaise mixture on the outsides of each sandwich. Place in same skillet and cook until golden brown and cheese is melted, 5-6 minutes on each side. Serve immediately.
