BURNING BAY LEAVES SAFELY FOR MANIFESTING A WISH - SPELLS8

Burning Bay Leaves Safely for Manifesting a Wish - Spells8 image

Simple and practical manifestation spell with bay leaves, candle and cauldron. Best done in a New Moon or Waxing Moon. ?

Provided by Francisco Huanaco

Categories     Good Luck Spells    Spells

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 bay leaf (preferably dried but can be fresh)
1 marker or pen
Lighter or matches
Cauldron or fireproof container
1 candle (see color chart)
Tongs (for safety)

Steps:

  • Light the candle and set the mood. Optionally, you can light some incense, cast a circle, or play music in the background.
  • Take your bay leaf and a marker and write your manifestation wish on the bay leaf. While you are doing this you should focus your energies on what you want to attract. For example, you could write something like “Increase my monthly monetary income by 50%.” You can be as specific as you want, but you should ensure you understand what you are asking for. Think carefully and write your manifestation desire clearly.
  • As you are writing and focusing your energies on your wish, make sure that your emotions are also in line with what you want to manifest. Visualize the feeling of receiving what you are asking for. Imagine the difference it makes to your life and feel the tension released.
  • When you are ready, it's time to burn your bay leaf. Using the tongs, safely hold the bay leaf near the candle flame until it burns almost entirely.
  • Put the bay leaf inside the cauldron. This part of the spell or ritual should be a mindful process as well. Watch the smoke rise and feel the aroma of the bay leaf.
  • Let the candle burn as you meditate. If you need to leave the room, snuff out the candle and continue to burn it during the following days.
  • Throw away the ashes and spell remains in any way that is convenient to you as you give thanks for their help in your ritual.

EASY PICKLED BEETS RECIPE | MYRECIPES

Easy Pickled Beets Recipe | MyRecipes image

Just six ingredients go into this easy sweet-and-sour pickled beets side dish. Use a mix of red and golden beets, if you like. Pickled beets can stay in your pantry for months so make extra to have on hand. They add a great tang and color to a fresh cole slaw, bright flavor and color to a cheese board and earthy notes to a spinach salad. The pickling liquid is a great base for other vegetables you will have depending on the season such as cucumbers, carrots and onions.

Provided by Chuck Williams

Yield 4 servings (serving size: about 1/2 cup)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pound small beets (about 7 beets)
½ cup white vinegar
¼ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black peppercorns
2 bay leaves

Steps:

  • Leave root and 1-inch stem on beets; scrub with a brush. Place in a medium saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 45 minutes or until tender. Drain and rinse with cold water; drain. Cool slightly. Trim off beet roots; rub off skins. Thinly slice beets; place in a large bowl.
  • Combine vinegar and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in salt, peppercorns, and bay leaves. Pour vinegar mixture over beets; cover and chill. Discard bay leaves.

PRESSURE COOKER GARLICKY CUBAN PORK RECIPE - NYT COOKING
This cumin-scented, garlic-laced pork is marinated with grapefruit, lime, and fresh oregano for a flavor that’s earthy and garlicky, yet bright from the citrus. The meat itself is as tender as can be, falling to shreds with the touch of a fork. Serve it over rice, or tuck it into tortillas along with some salsa and avocado to create tacos. This is one of 10 recipes from Melissa Clark’s “Dinner in an Instant: 75 Modern Recipes for Your Pressure Cooker, Multicooker, and Instant Pot” (Clarkson Potter, 2017). WHOLE ROAST SUCKLING PIG RECIPE - NYT COOKING
A whole roast suckling pig is quite special. No other feast food of the holiday season cooks so easily, and presents so majestically. With its mahogany, crisp skin and its sticky-tender meat, people thrill to be at the party where this is on the buffet. Measure your oven, and be firm with your butcher about the pig’s size, so you can be sure it will fit — most home ovens can easily accommodate a 20-pounder. Then, just give the pig the time it needs in a low and slow oven for its meat to reach its signature tender, succulent perfection, while you clean the house or do whatever it is you do before a special party. For the last 30 minutes, ramp the heat of the oven all the way up to get that insanely delicious crackling skin.

CHRISTMAS GRAVY RECIPE | JAMIE OLIVER CHRISTMAS RECIPES
Good gravy has the power to transform, or even save, a meal. This year, open your mind to a slightly radical idea: make your gravy a few days, or even weeks in advance, simply reheating it in your turkey tray on the big day. Stress, saved.

  • GET AHEAD 1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC/350ºF/gas 4. 2. Peel the onions, wash the carrots, then roughly chop with the celery and bacon. Put the veg, bay leaves, sage, rosemary and star anise into a sturdy high-sided roasting tray, then scatter the chopped bacon on top. 3. Break the chicken wings open, bash with a rolling pin to help release extra flavour as they cook, then add to the tray. Drizzle with oil, season with sea salt and black pepper, toss, then cook for 1 hour, or until tender. 4. Remove the tray from the oven and transfer to a low heat on the hob. Really grind and mash everything with a potato masher, scraping up all the goodness from the base of the tray (the longer you let it fry, the darker your gravy will be). If you want to add sherry or port, now’s the time to do so; just leave it to cook away for a few minutes. 5. Gradually stir in the flour, then pour in 2 litres of boiling kettle water. Simmer for 30 minutes, or until thickened and reduced, stirring occasionally. 6. When the gravy is the consistency of your liking, pour it through a coarse sieve into a large bowl, pushing all the goodness through with the back of a spoon. Taste and season to perfection, cool to room temperature, then pour into containers or bags and pop into the fridge or freezer, ready to finish off on Christmas Day. ON THE DAY 1. If frozen, take the gravy out to defrost when your turkey goes into the oven. 2. When the turkey’s perfectly cooked, remove it to a platter to rest for up to 2 hours, covered with a double layer of tin foil and a clean tea towel. Skim away most of the fat from the tray, cool, and place into a jar in the fridge for tasty cooking another day. 3. Pour your Get-ahead gravy into the tray with the rest of the turkey juices. Bring to the boil over the hob and scrape up all those sticky bits from the base. Have a taste, then stir in the Cranberry sauce to balance the flavours. 4. Once your gravy is piping hot, carefully strain through a coarse sieve into a pan, then leave it on the lowest heat until you’re ready to serve. Skim away any fat that rises to the top, and add any extra resting juices from the turkey before serving.
