Tired of plain old boring water? Here's a cool and fruity twist on it! Mix up your fruits for a tasty surprise! Citrus fruit and berries work best. If you want more flavor, add more fruits, and if you want less flavor, use less fruit. You can squeeze the juice out to color the water or just put whole slices and berries in.

5 cups water
1 cup ice cubes
½ cup small strawberries
1 lime, sliced

Steps:

  • Pour water into a pitcher. Add ice and strawberries. Squeeze lime slices to release some of their juice into the water before adding them in. Stir to combine flavors.

Your choice of fruit, vegetables or herbs (see notes below for ideas)
tap or filtered water
ice cubes for serving (optional)

Steps:

  • Wash fruits, vegetables and herbs before using.
  • Place thinly sliced or diced pieces of fruit or vegetables into a pitcher, bruise the fruit using a wooden spoon - this will help release the flavours.
  • Fill the pitcher with 1 litre (4 cups) cold tap or filtered water and allow to stand at room temperature for 1-2 hours or store in the fridge for 24 hours.
  • To serve pour the flavoured water into a glass filled with ice (optional) and garnish with a few fresh slices of fruit if you like.
