My mom got this from her dear friend who always made this dip at her Christmas parties. By far the best Rotel dip out there!

Number Of Ingredients 6

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs hamburger, cooked
1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked (Owens regular)
1/2 large onion, chopped
2 lbs Velveeta cheese
10 3/4 ounces cream of mushroom soup
10 ounces Rotel Tomatoes, with bell peppers

Steps:

Brown hamburger meat with chopped onion.
Brown breakfast sausage.
Place hamburger and sausage in crock pot.
Place rest of ingredients in crock pot.
Turn on high until cheese is melted.
Turn back to low and serve.
Be sure to stir occasionally.
I estimated the cook time two hours.

1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
12 ounces cubed Velveeta
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 can (10-1/2 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
Tortilla chips

Steps:

In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink, 8-10 minutes, breaking into crumbles; drain. Transfer to a greased 3- or 4-qt. slow cooker. Stir in Velveeta, soups and seasonings. Cook, covered, on low until heated through, 1-1/2 - 2 hours, stirring halfway through cooking. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
