¾ cup milk
¾ cup water
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon honey, or more to taste
1 teaspoon ghee (clarified butter)
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
? teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Combine milk, water, ginger, honey, ghee, turmeric, cinnamon, and black pepper in a small saucepan. Whisk over medium heat until boiling, 5 to 10 minutes. Remove pot from heat. Strain out fresh ginger and serve immediately.

You ever woke up with the weirdest crick (is that a word) in your neck? I did, It was the most obnoxious pain, I didn't want to look left or right. My Doctor ended up telling me I was having a spasm in my back because I must have lifted something the wrong way and now the pain wassssssssss overwhelming. I wanted to find something that would assist with inflammation soo I checked herbs and spices and grabbed old faithful.. Turmeric Root and Black Peppercorn. The turmeric tea latte with black pepper is my go too, It's simple tasty and really helps with speeding up the process of getting my back out of this spasm!!
Just know that the recipe is simple. Anyone can make this, and it’s a living recipe so if you want it sweeter add more agave... want to be fancy add a vegan whipped topping. #JustSaying?!
