1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained
1 teaspoon mayonnaise
1 teaspoon sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon Dijon-style prepared mustard
1 stalk celery, chopped
¼ cup chopped onion
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Mash tuna in a small bowl with a fork. Add mayonnaise, pickle relish, mustard, celery, onion, and black pepper; stir to combine. Chill and serve.

A Mayo-Free Tuna Salad for Pickle Lovers Recipe | Cooking ... image

This five-minute, tangy tuna salad is specially created for my fellow pickle fanatics. In addition to providing vitamin K, pickles also give this recipe all the salt it needs. And in place of mayonnaise, we’ve swapped in probiotic-rich Greek yogurt.  When choosing tuna, look for brands like Wild Planet, which offers pole- and line-caught fish, and opt for tuna packed in water rather than oil. Yield 6 servings (serving size: about 2 1/2 tablespoons)

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 five-ounce cans solid tuna in water
4 gherkins or baby pickles, chopped
6 kalamata olives, pitted and chopped
3 tablespoons fresh chopped chives
2 tablespoons 2% Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon stone ground Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon pickle juice
1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
1/8 teaspoon ground celery seed
1/4 teaspoon ground mustard seed

Steps:

  • Place the tuna, with the water, into a bowl and break up with a fork into bite-size chunks. Add the remaining ingredients and stir gently until thoroughly combined. To serve, layer a few lettuce leaves on top of one another and pile the tuna in the center. Eat with sliced vegetables or crackers. Store in the refrigerator for three to four days.
