3/4 cup baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup butter, melted, divided
1/2 cup boiling water
2 cups sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chunks

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda; blend 1/3 cup melted butter. Add boiling water; stir until well blended. Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining butter. Add flour, vanilla and salt. Stir in pecans and chocolate chunks. , Pour into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool.

Ingredients

1-1/2 teaspoons plus 3/4 cup butter, softened, divided
3 cups sugar
1 can (5 ounces) evaporated milk (about 2/3 cup)
1 package (12 ounces) white baking chips
1 jar (7 ounces) marshmallow creme
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

Line a 13x9-in. pan with foil; grease foil with 1-1/2 teaspoons butter., In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, milk and remaining 3/4 cup butter; bring to a rapid boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in baking chips and marshmallow creme until melted. Stir in vanilla. Immediately spread into prepared pan. Refrigerate until firm, 1-2 hours. , Using foil, lift fudge out of pan. Remove foil; cut fudge into 1-in. squares. Store between layers of waxed paper in an airtight container.
