Ingredients

1 cup butter room temperature
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
2 1/4 cup white flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 bag chocolate chips (we use semi-sweet) or 2.5 cups

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350.Place room temperature butter in the bowl of a stand mixer and mix. Slowly add brown and white sugar and mix on low speed until smooth.Mix in egg and vanilla extract until combined. On low speed, slowly add salt, baking soda, and flour, stopping often to scrape sides of bowl. Once incorporated add chooclate chips on low speed. Line cookie sheet with partchment paper and place spoonfulls of cookies on sheet. I bake nine cookies per sheet. Bake for 9 to 10 minutes or until sides are golden brown. Remove from oven, let cool, and enjoy!
