1 teaspoon(s) salt
BEAT:
1 cup(s) marg. or butter, softened ( 2 sticks)
3/4 cup(s) granulated sugar
3/4 cup(s) brown sugar (packed)
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
2 - eggs (add one at a time)
STIR IN:
2 cup(s) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup(s) pecans, chopped (optional)
NOTE: IF OMITTING NUTS, ADD 2 T. OF ALL PURPOSE FLOUR TO MIXTURE.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine first three ingredients.
  • Beat next five ingredients. Gradually add flour mixture.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and nuts (optional)
  • Drop by rounded Tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake.
