1 lb. pizza dough
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 packet ranch seasoning packet
1/2 c. grated Monterey Jack
2 tbsp. finely chopped chives
1/4 c. Ranch dressing, for serving
1 tbsp. Hot sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle and transfer the parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle the olive oil over the dough, then brush to evenly distribute the oil. Sprinkle ranch seasoning over the dough. Using a pizza cutter (or sharp knife) cut dough crosswise into 12 long strips. Then cut all the strips in half vertically to make 24 strips. (Do not separate strips.) Then sprinkle the cheese and chives on top of the dough. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden. Meanwhile make spicy ranch. Mix together ranch dressing with hot sauce. When the breadsticks are baked, recut along each strip and remove from cooking sheet. Serve sticks spicy ranch dressing.

This is a recipe that was derived from Miss Annie's Crock Pot Cream Cheese Chicken that I attempted to make but found that I didn't have exactly the right ingredients...Since my kids love ranch dressing, this version really "hit home" with them...(They were literally "licking their plates" after they were done!) I thank you so much, Miss Annie, for your inspiration for this "alternative ranch-flavored" recipe! :)

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 (1 ounce) package hidden valley ranch dressing mix
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
1 dash paprika
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

Steps:

  • Wash and dry chicken breasts and place them evenly in crock pot. Sprinkle with paprika.
  • Sprinkle pkg. of Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix over chicken.
  • Drizzle chicken breasts with 1 tablespoons melted butter.
  • Cover and cook on Low for 4 hours.
  • Melt remaining 1 tablespoon butter in a medium saucepan along with minced garlic and saute slightly.
  • Add cream of chicken soup, the 8 oz. of cream cheese cubes, 1/2 cup chicken broth, dried Oregano and dried Parsley flakes. Stir on medium heat until smooth.
  • Add mixture to crock pot, cover again and continue to cook on low for 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours.
  • Serve over buttered egg noddles.

  • 1) Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. 2) Add the potatoes to a baking dish along with the butter, dried onion flakes, dried parsley, salt and pepper. Stir together to mix, cover the baking dish with some aluminum foil and pop it in the oven for 30 minutes. 3) After 30 minutes, remove the foil, stir the potatoes a little and pop them back in the oven uncovered for an additional 30 minutes. Make sure to stir them half way through the last 30 minutes. 4) Remove the potatoes from the oven, spoon the ranch dressing over the potatoes (I kind of drizzle it over them) then scatter the bacon over that and top it with the cheese. Pop it back in the oven for 5 to 6 minutes or until the cheese has fully melted. 5) Remove from the oven, scatter the green onions over top and dig in right away!
