DIY FOUR THIEVES® ESSENTIAL OIL BLEND FOR WELLNESS
The recipe for this blend is believed to have originated in the 15th century. According to legend, the concoction was created by a group of four thieves® and grave robbers to protect themselves from contracting the plague while robbing the bodies of the ill and deceased. When apprehended, the thieves admitted to using the formula and disclosed the recipe in order to receive a less severe punishment for their crimes. Steps:
- Mix all essential oils together in a dark glass bottle.
- This blend is very strong and must be diluted. The essential oil content should only account for 1-2% of the total formula. This means 6-12 drops of essential oil can be added per 1 oz. of carrier oil or other menstruum.

Steps:
- Pour the tea tree oil and vinegar into the spray bottle. Shake well.
- Liberally spritz the toilet tank, both sides of the seat and lid, handle, and the inside and outside of the bowl,
- Wait about five minutes.
- Shake the baking soda on the sides of the bowl interior and in the water.
- Use the brush to swipe the bowl well, ensuring that you reach under the rim.
- Wipe the outside of the toilet with a microfiber cloth.
- Flush cleaning residue inside the toilet.

Tea tree oil, if properly stored in a cool, dark place will have a shelf-life of 1 to 2 years (this can be extended to 3 years with really good care and storage). Oxidization (exposure to air) will cause your oil to lose its fresh scent as it ages.
