Swanson® Chicken Broth provides the perfect base for this homestyle soup packed with carrots, celery, shredded cooked chicken and extra wide egg noodles.

4 cups Swanson® Chicken Broth (Regular, Natural Goodness™ or Certified Organic)
Generous dash ground black pepper
1 medium carrot, sliced
1 stalk celery, sliced
½ cup uncooked extra wide egg noodles
1 cup shredded cooked chicken or turkey

Steps:

  • Heat broth, black pepper, carrot and celery in 2-qt. saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil. Stir noodles and chicken in saucepan. Reduce heat to medium. Cook 10 min. or until noodles are tender, stirring often. Serving Suggestion: Serve with your favorite cheese and crackers and a spinach salad. For dessert serve a chocolate parfait: layer chocolate pudding with your favorite crumbled cookies and top with whipped topping. 4 pounds chicken parts
? cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons olive oil
1?½ cups diced onion
1 medium green bell pepper, diced
1 (8 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 cups Swanson® Tuscan Chicken Flavor Infused Broth
¼ cup dry white wine
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Season the chicken as desired. Coat the chicken with the flour.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the chicken from the skillet. Pour off any fat.
  • Heat the remaining oil in the skillet. Add the onion, green pepper and mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the garlic and cook and stir for 1 minute. Add the tomatoes and tomato paste and cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  • Add the broth and wine and heat to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes. Reduce the heat to low. Return the chicken to the skillet. Cover and cook for 25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. Season to taste. Sprinkle with the parsley.
