GATOR BAIT BITES WITH SWAMP SAUCE RECIPE | SIDECHEF

Gator Bait Bites with Swamp Sauce Recipe | SideChef image

These aren’t normal chicken nuggets, ok? Just put that thought out of your heads right now. These are full of flavor, tender and moist, and country-fried with a perfect amount of spice! For tailgating parties, I would definitely throw them in the batter the night before and fry them up the morning of the game.

Total Time 2700S

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 22

3 Chicken Breast
1 cup Buttermilk
1/4 cup Frank's® RedHot® Sauce
2 tablespoon Sriracha
1/2 cup Milk
1 Egg
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
3 tablespoon Cornmeal
1 tablespoon Powdered Confectioners Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Paprika
1/8 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1/8 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
4 tablespoon Chili Sauce
3 tablespoon Mayonnaise
3 tablespoon Frank's® RedHot® Sauce
2 tablespoon Barbecue Sauce
2 tablespoon Yellow Mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 teaspoon Garlic
1/2 teaspoon Paprika
1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

Steps:

  • Combine the Chicken Breast (3), Buttermilk (1 cup), Frank's® RedHot® Sauce (1/4 cup) and the Sriracha (2 tablespoon). Stir to coat the chicken well. Cover and refrigerate between 30 minutes to 4 hours. Drain the chicken.
  • In a shallow bowl, beat the Egg (1) and stir in the Milk (1/2 cup). In a separate shallow bowl or dish, combine the All-Purpose Flour (1 cup), Cornmeal (3 tablespoon), Powdered Confectioners Sugar (1 tablespoon), Salt (1/8 teaspoon), Ground Black Pepper (1/8 teaspoon) and Paprika (1/4 teaspoon).
  • Heat about a fourth of the Vegetable Oil (1/2 cup) in a large skillet over medium to medium high heat.
  • In batches, dip the chicken into the milk and egg mixture, then into the flour mixture. Cook a few minutes on each side until the chicken "gator bait" pieces are browned and the chicken is cooked through. Continue cooking until all pieces are cooked.
  • For the Swamp Sauce combine Chili Sauce (4 tablespoon), Mayonnaise (3 tablespoon), Frank's® RedHot® Sauce (3 tablespoon), Barbecue Sauce (2 tablespoon), Yellow Mustard (2 tablespoon), Worcestershire Sauce (1 tablespoon), Garlic (1/2 teaspoon), Paprika (1/2 teaspoon) and Ground Black Pepper (1/4 teaspoon) in a small bowl. Whisk to combine well.
  • Serve gator bait with swamp sauce and enjoy!

Swamp Fries Recipe - Food.com - Food.com - Recipes, Food ... image

I had my first taste of these french fries in a New Port Richey, Florida restaurant, but when I moved to TN I missed them so much, that I made my own version. These are easy and make a great side dish or afternoon snack! Ps. This can be made with Low fast cheese and Bacon Substitute, but it's definately not a diet food!

Total Time 40 minutes

Prep Time 10 minutes

Cook Time 30 minutes

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 (32 ounce) bag frozen crinkle cut french fries
8 ounces colby cheese, Shredded
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, Shredded
1/2 lb bacon, cooked and cut into small pieces
ranch dressing
hot sauce

Steps:

  • Bake French Fries according to directions on bag.
  • Remove from oven and push together to form a single layer, with not much space between the fries.
  • Sprinkle cheese and bacon evenly on top.
  • Put back into oven until the cheese is all melted.
  • Remove from oven and drizzle Ranch dressing and hot sauce over top. You can also serve these fries with the dressing and hot sauce on the side, allowing you family to use as much or as little as they want.
  • Enjoy!
