SUGARDALE APPLE CIDER HAM GLAZE - HY-VEE RECIPES AND IDEAS
Throw out that ham glaze packet! All you need for a great holiday ham is a Sugardale ham and a homemade apple cider glaze.

Remove ham from the refrigerator. Allow to sit at room temperature for 2 hours. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- 2.
In a medium saucepan, whisk together butter, apple cider, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, yellow mustard, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, thyme, pepper, and chili powder. Place saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until slightly thickened.

Pour 2 cups water into the bottom of a roasting pan. Place roasting rack inside of pan. Roll out enough foil to wrap ham. Place ham on foil and brush with glaze mixture. Wrap ham in foil and place onto roasting rack.

Bake ham until center reaches an internal temperature of 100-110 degrees, about 2 hours.
- 5.
Unfold foil to expose the ham; brush with glaze. Bake 30 to 35 minutes, uncovered, or until glaze is caramelized.
- 6.
Remove ham from oven and brush with remaining glaze. Spoon juices from bottom of the roasting pan onto ham. Rest 15 minutes before serving.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place the ham in a roasting pan and dot with cloves. In a saucepan combine the pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey and orange juice. Stir and simmer over medium-low heat until thickened, about 10 minutes. Pour the glaze over the ham.
- Bake the ham uncovered for 1 hour in the preheated oven.
