Iced Coffee Recipe - How to Make Perfect Iced Coffee at Home image

The smooth, rich flavor and convenience (not to mention $$ savings) of this iced coffee recipe can not be underestimated.

ground coffee (good, rich roast)

8 qt.

cold water

Half-and-half (healthy splash per serving)

Sweetened condensed milk (2-3 tablespoons per serving)

Note: Can use skim milk, 2% milk, whole milk, sugar, artificial sweeteners, syrups...adapt to your liking!

Steps:

  • In a large container, mix ground coffee with water. Cover and allow to sit at room temperature twelve hours or overnight.  Line a fine mesh strainer with cheesecloth and set over a pitcher or other container. Pour coffee/water mixture through the strainer, allowing all liquid to run through. Discard grounds.  Place coffee liquid in the fridge and allow to cool. Use as needed.  To make iced coffee, pack a glass full of ice cubes. Fill glass 2/3 full with coffee liquid. Add healthy splash of half-and-half. Add 2-3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (can use plain sugar instead) and stir to combine. Taste and adjust half-and-half and/or sweetened condensed milk as needed.

2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup finely chopped nuts
1 can (12.4 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Cinnamon Rolls with Original Icing (8 Count)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Using 1 tablespoon of the butter, butter 9-inch pie pan. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle 2 tablespoons of the mixture over buttered pan. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of the nuts over sugar mixture.
  • Separate dough into 8 rolls; cut each into quarters. Place half of pieces evenly over nuts; sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of the sugar mixture. Dot with remaining tablespoon butter; top with remaining roll pieces and sugar mixture.
  • Bake at 375°F. for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Drizzle icing over rolls; sprinkle with remaining nuts. Cut into wedges. Serve warm.
