My favorite sugar cookie recipe! I used 1/2 tsp. almond extract and spooned the dough out using a small cookie scoop. These are delectable!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Cream together butter, cream cheese and sugar.
- Beat in egg yolks, vanilla and almond extracts.
- Add flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Stir well.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar. Don't flatten. (I use parchment paper.).
- Bake 12 to 14 minutes until tops are cracked and just turning light brown.
- Cool for one minute on cookie sheet before transferring to rack or waxed paper to cool completely.

Steps:
- In large bowl, combine all ingredients except flour and colored sugar; beat until light and fluffy.
- Add flour; mix well. Shape dough into 3 disks. Wrap dough in plastic wrap; refrigerate 1 hour for easier handling.
- Heat oven to 375°F. On floured surface, roll out 1 disk of dough at a time to 1/8-inch thickness. (Keep remaining dough refrigerated.) Cut with lightly floured 2 1/2-inch round or desired shape cookie cutters. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Decorate with colored sugar.
- Bake at 375°F. for 6 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheets. If desired, frost and decorate plain cookies.

- Cut cookie dough in half (save 1 portion for another use). With floured hands, press about 1 tablespoon of dough onto the bottom and up the sides of 12 ungreased miniature muffin cups. Bake at 350° until lightly browned, 8-10 minutes. , Using the end of a wooden spoon handle, reshape the puffed cookie cups. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely., In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and vanilla until smooth. Gradually beat in confectioners' sugar. Spoon into cookie cups. Store in the refrigerator.
