STRAWBERRY JELLO INGREDIENTS RECIPES
STRAWBERRY, BANANA, AND PINEAPPLE JELLO SALAD
This is a vintage recipe, filled with the wonderful blended flavors of strawberries, bananas and pineapple. The sour cream layer in the middle gives a tangy counterpoint to the sweetness of the Jell-O and fruit.

Steps:
- In a large bowl, stir Jell-O and the 1 cup boiling water together until the jello is completely dissolved.
- Add the mashed bananas, strawberries with juice, drained crushed pineapple, and pecans (optional). Stir to blend.
- Pour half of the Jell-O mixture into a 9" x13" glass dish. Spread evenly. Chill until set. This goes quickly because of the low moisture content in the Jell-O. Set aside the other half of the jello - do not chill or else it will set.
- Once the jello in the dish has set, gently spread the sour cream evenly over the Jell-O. Before spreading the sour cream, you may want to stir it to loosen it and make it more of a spreading consistency.
- Pour the remaining half of the Jell-O mixture over the sour cream, gently spread evenly, cover and chill until jello is set.
- The Jell-O can be cut into squares if desired for serving. Otherwise - serve it family style and let everyone scoop out their desired portion.

- Stir boiling water into gelatin for at least 2 min, and completely dissolved.
- Mix cold water and ice to measure 1 cup.
- Add to gelatin, stirring until all ice melts.
- Stir in Cool Whip with wire whisk until smooth.
- Refrigerate until mixture is thick and can mound well.
- Spoon into graham cracker crust.
- Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.

- Make the lime-sugar rim: Dip the rim of each shot glass into the lime juice, then press into the sanding sugar to fully coat. Set cups aside to dry. Make the spiked lime Jell-o: Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Once bubbling, stir in packet of lime Jell-o mix, stirring until completely dissolved. Turn off heat. Pour in vodka or tequila (or whatever your preferred alcohol is), mixing until thoroughly combined. Pour into a large measuring cup, small pitcher or another glass so it's easier to pour into the shot glasses. Pour the lime Jell-o mixture into each of the shot glasses, filling them all two-thirds of the way up. Place the shot glasses into the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to set. (It's okay if they're not fully set, but they can't be totally liquid when you start the next step.) Make the strawberry Jell-o: Boil 1 cup water in a medium saucepan. Once bubbling, add the strawberry Jell-o mix, stirring until completely dissolved. Turn off heat, then add remaining cup cold water, stirring until combined. Pour Jell-o into a measuring cup, or another easy-to-pour vessel, then fill each shot glass to just below the sanding sugar rim. (If the Jell-o hits the sugar rim, it will start melting the rim.) Place Jell-o shots in the fridge for at least 1 hour to set. Serve cold, like the Grinch's heart (pre-stealing-Christmas).

- In a bowl, combine the pretzels, butter and sugar. Press into an ungreased 13x9-in. baking dish. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. , For filling, in a small bowl, beat whipped topping, cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Spread over pretzel crust.
