Start your weekend right with this delicious Strawberry Gin Fizz. If you are a fan of your fruity flavoured gins, then this is one for you! Enjoy this refreshing berry-infused drink on a hot summers day.

Yield Serves: 1

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 punnet of strawberries
1 tsp caster sugar
Your choice of gin (single shot per drink)
6-8 ice cubes
250ml of your choice of mixer

Steps:

  • Begin by semi-freezing your strawberries. Half an hour in a bag or tub will do.
  • Using the Dualit VortecS Blender, blend the strawberries and sugar until smooth.
  • Pour a little of the blended mix into the bottom of a large gin glass.
  • Add a measure or two of gin, and top with your choice of mixer and stir.
  • Garnish with a strawberry on the side of the glass and a sprig of fresh mint. Drink with a wide paper straw.
  • This recipe is super versatile. Try experimenting with different fruits and mixers until you find your perfect combination. Different flavoured tonic waters and lemonades can transform the fruitiness of this drink!
  • Keep a frozen bag of mixed berries or mangos in the freezer for a 'go-to' drink.

We’ve combined some of our favourite ingredients to make this refreshing summer drink recipe – strawberries, gin and prosecco.

Yield Makes 1 jug; serves 6-8

Number Of Ingredients 6

400g fresh, ripe strawberries, hulled and roughly chopped
Small bunch fresh mint, leaves torn, plus extra small sprigs to serve
2 tsp caster sugar, dissolved in 30ml boiling water to make a syrup
100ml gin
2 handfuls ice cubes
1 bottle prosecco

Steps:

  • Put the strawberries, torn mint and half the sugar syrup in a large jug and muddle with the end of a rolling pin or handle of a wooden spoon until lightly crushed and bruised and releasing their juices.
  • Add the gin, ice cubes and prosecco, then stir and taste, adding extra sugar syrup if needed. Serve in chilled champagne flutes or glasses garnished with sprigs of fresh mint.
