Cook Time 1 hours

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup - butter
1 cup - sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
2 - eggs, unbeaten
3 cups - all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt

Steps:

  • Cream together the butter, sugar, and vanilla.
  • Add eggs and beat well.
  • Add flour and salt. Mix until blended. After the dough is complete, add a few drops of color to all or just a portion of the batter (if you want some cookies colored).
  • Press through a cookie maker onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake the cookies at 375°F for 10 to12 minutes. (This varies with the type pan and the oven. Sometimes they are cooked in 8 minutes.)
  • If decorating the cookie with colored sugar, sprinkle over cookies before they bake.
