I found the recipe on the internet. It's amazing. I have also used frozen french fries instead of fresh potatoes and it came out great.

Prep Time 15 minutes

Cook Time 10 minutes

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 1/2 lbs potatoes, peeled
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup water (or more)
1 cup vegetable oil, for frying

Steps:

  • Slice potatoes into French fries, and place into cold water so they won't turn brown while you prepare the oil.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • While the oil is heating, sift the flour and spices into a large bowl.
  • Gradually stir in enough water so that the mixture can be drizzled from a spoon.
  • Dip potato slices into the batter one at a time, and place in the hot oil so they are not touching at first.
  • The fries must be placed into the skillet one at a time, or they will clump together.
  • Fry until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.

4 large baking potatoes
2 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450.
  • Put oil in 9x13 pan, swirl around.
  • Scrub potatoes. Cut each lengthwise into 8 wedges.
  • Combine flour and seasonings in a bowl or baggie.
  • Add potato wedges and shake or toss to coat.
  • Arrange skin-side-down in oiled pan.
  • Bake 35-40 minutes.

  • 1) Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Line two baking sheets with aluminum foil and place them in the oven as it preheats so that the baking sheets will be preheated as well. 2) Cut the potatoes into either wedges or fry shape, place them on a microwave safe plate (you will probably need to do this in stages if your making this big batch) and microwave them for about 10 minutes or until they are mostly cooked through. 3) Let them cool a bit once they come out of the microwave. 4) In a large bowl, mix together all the spices with the olive oil, add the partially cooked potatoes and toss everything together to coat. 5) Divide the potatoes on the hot baking sheets, making sure that they are all in one layer. Pop them in the oven and roast them for about 20 minutes or until crispy. 6) Check on them and rotate the baking sheets around if you feel like they are coloring too soon on one side and not the other. Serve immediately!
