SOCCER CAKE RECIPES

Steps:

• Prep time: 20 min.Baking time: 30 min.Decoration time: 30-45 min.
• Unwrap the SNICKERS® Brand Miniatures and chop them. Prepare the cake mix according to the directions on the package. Fold the candy into the batter, transfer to the Pyrex mixing bowl, and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 30 minutes.
• Once cooled, remove the cake from the bowl and place it on a platter, flat side down. Spread the cake with the vanilla frosting.
• To create the cake's black and white pattern: Trace an outline of the pentagon pattern with the tip of a knife on top of the cake, then outline this shape using brown M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies.
• Fill in the pentagon shape with brown M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies.
• Place 3 brown M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies in a straight line, like a spider, radiating out from each point of the pentagon as shown in the picture.
• Use the pattern to outline pentagons at the end of each of these lines, and fill them in with brown M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies.
• Optional decoration:1/3 cup shredded coconut Green food coloring Large resealable plastic bag
• What to do: Put the coconut in the plastic bag with a drop of green food coloring. Close the bag and shake the coconut until it turns green.
• Once the cake is completely finished, rim the edge with the colored coconut.

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Spray bottom only of 13x9-inch pan with baking spray with flour. Grease 1-quart ovenproof glass bowl with shortening; coat with flour (do not use baking spray).
• Make cake batter as directed on box. Pour 1 1/3 cups batter into 1-quart bowl and remaining batter into 13x9-inch pan.
• Bake 13x9-inch pan 21 to 26 minutes (23 to 30 minutes for dark or nonstick) and 1-quart bowl 26 to 31 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan and bowl to cooling racks (place cake from bowl with rounded side up). Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
• Cut off uneven bottom of cake from bowl so it will stand flat. Freeze cakes 1 hour.
• On tray, place 13x9-inch cake, bottom side up. Stir food color into 1 1/2 cups of the white frosting; spread over cake.
• Spread remaining 1/2 cup white frosting over rounded side of other cake for soccer ball. Place ball on green field. Use black decorating icing to create soccer ball design. Use green decorating icing to make tufts of grass. Store loosely covered.
