1-1/2 cups cold 2% milk
1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
4 large apples, chopped (about 6 cups)
4 Snickers candy bars (1.86 ounces each), cut into 1/2-inch pieces

Steps:

In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes. Let stand until soft-set, about 2 minutes. Fold in whipped topping. Fold in apples and candy bars. Refrigerate until serving.

I first sampled this salad at a chili cook-off - perfect! This is a real hit at fall parties. I like to use a mix of green and red apples.

Ingredients

6 (2 1/4 ounce) Snickers candy bars, chill and chop
6 apples, cored and chopped into bite sized pieces (Granny Smith and or or Red Delicious)
1 (12 ounce) container Cool Whip
1 (5 ounce) box instant vanilla pudding (NO milk, use dry mix, DO NOT prepare!) or 1 (5 ounce) box butterscotch pudding mix (NO milk, use dry mix, DO NOT prepare!)
1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping (optional) or 1/2 cup caramel apple dip (optional)
1/2 cup chopped peanuts, can also sprinkled on top (optional)

Steps:

Mix cool whip and dry pudding mix together.
Chop apples and chilled Snickers.
Mix together.
Heat caramel sauce a bit in the microwave- just enough to drizzle, not enough to heat up salad.
Drizzle caramel sauce over salad and sprinkle peanuts on top.
Chill for at least an hour-- Voila!

Spread parchment paper over a work surface or on a baking sheet. Place 6 ounces of finely chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until chocolate is melted. Check the temperature of the chocolate; it should be 110 degrees F. If it is too cool, heat it for 5 second intervals until the proper temperature is reached. Stir in remaining 2 ounces of roughly chopped chocolate until it has melted and the chocolate cools to 87 degrees F. Dunk each ball of cookie dough into melted chocolate, spooning melted chocolate over the surface until coated. Use a fork to scoop each ball out, gently shaking off the excess chocolate back into the bowl, then place truffle onto the parchment paper. While chocolate is still wet, sprinkle a tiny bit of cinnamon on the top of the truffle. Repeat with remaining dough balls. If chocolate starts to get too cool (starts hardening on the side of the bowl), return it to the microwave for 5 seconds and stir before continuing. Allow truffles to set up at room temperature for 5-10 minutes, until chocolate has hardened.
