Top Secret Recipes | Taco Bell Enchirito Copycat Recipe ... image

Since Taco Bell brought the Enchirito back from the dead a couple years ago the product's formula has changed a bit. With the exclusion of the sliced black olives on top, plus a few other minor changes, this recipe copies the "new" formulation of the chain's enchilada/burrito fusion product first introduced in the early 60s. The technique for preparation has also been improved from the recipe found in the first Top Secret Recipes book and published here on the site. So, until Taco Bell changes it again, this is the ultimate clone that makes enough for an entire family of Enchirito lovers. With or without the olives. This super easy, no cook skinny taco dip is a MUST have at any get together: birthdays, football, holidays– the dip always disappears! Serve with tortilla chips.

8 oz 1/3 less fat Philadelphia cream cheese
8 oz reduced fat sour cream
16 oz jar mild salsa
1/2 packet taco seasoning (check for GF)
2 cups iceberg lettuce (shredded fine)
2 large tomatoes (seeds removed and diced)
1 cup reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese
2.25 oz sliced black olives

Steps:

  • In a large bowl combine cream cheese, sour cream, salsa and taco seasoning and mix well with an electric mixer.
  • Spread on the bottom of a large shallow glass dish.
  • Top with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese and black olives.
  • Serve with baked tortilla chips.

TOP SECRET RECIPES | DEL TACO TAMALES
This 600-unit Mexican fast food chain celebrates the holidays each year with delicious little $2 corn husk-wrapped pork tamales made from a traditional recipe for authentic south-of-the-border taste.
