This is my version of that store bought seafood spread that Publix used to carry (might still but I don't live near a Publix now).

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 lb imitation crabmeat, flaked
1 cup shredded colby-monterey jack cheese
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4-1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4-1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 -2 dash Tabasco sauce
assorted cracker

Steps:

  • Mix everything together except the imitation crab and shredded cheese until it is smooth and well blended.
  • Fold in the imitation crab meat and shredded cheese.
  • Chill before serving.
  • Serve with assorted crackers.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1?½ pounds unpeeled, medium-size shrimp
5 cups water
½ pound lump crabmeat, drained
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 green onions, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon hot sauce
Garnish: fresh dill sprigs

Steps:

  • Boil shrimp in 5 cups water in a medium saucepan 3 to 5 minutes or just until shrimp turn pink. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  • Peel shrimp, and devein, if desired. Chop shrimp.
  • Stir together shrimp, crabmeat, and next 8 ingredients; cover and chill up to 24 hours. Serve on cucumber slices and squash slices or in phyllo cups. Garnish, if desired.
