1/2 cup butter
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Confectioners' sugar, optional

Steps:

  • In a microwave, melt butter and chocolate; stir until smooth. Cool. Transfer to a large bowl. Stir in the eggs, sugar, flour, nuts, baking powder and vanilla., Pour into a greased 8-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350° for 16-20 minutes or until top is set. Cool on a wire rack. Dust with confectioners' sugar if desired.

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 large Land O Lakes® Egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 8-inch square baking pan; set aside.
  • Melt butter in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar; mix well. Cool 10 minutes. Stir in egg and vanilla. Add flour and salt; mix well. Stir in pecans.
  • Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake 22-27 minutes or until set. Cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
