San Marzano Marinara Sauce - Cento Fine Foods image

A quick, simple and nutritious marinara sauce made with Cento Certified San Marzano Tomatoes. This sauce is perfect to serve over your favorite pasta cut and is sure to become a favorite in your house.

Prep Time 5 minutes

Cook Time 25 minutes

Yield 4-6 Servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 tbsp Cento Imported Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 cup White Onion, chopped
1 tsp Bellino Minced Garlic
1 can Cento Certified San Marzano Tomatoes (28 oz), hand crushed
Cento Fine Sicilian Sea Salt, to taste
Cento Ground Black Pepper, to taste
1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Basil Leaves, for garnish

Steps:

  • Heat oil over a medium flame in a medium sauce pan. Sauté onion until translucent, approximately one minute, then add garlic and gently brown for an additional minute. Pour in tomatoes and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well, cover and let simmer for 20 minutes or until desired thickness is achieved. Remove from heat, add basil and spoon sauce over your favorite Anna Pasta. Serves 4-6.
