PORK CHOP RUB RECIPE - FOOD.COM

Pork Chop Rub Recipe - Food.com image

This is very simple easy, and you most likely will have all these ingredients in your kitchen. It gives a lot of flavor to the chops. The recipe is what you would put on one chop. Its very simple to double (which I do). My husband smelled it cooking, and said it made his mouth water. Be careful not to overcook the chops, as it will make them taste very dry. I left them in the oven (with the oven off) to keep warm, and they still got a little dry.

Total Time 20 minutes

Prep Time 5 minutes

Cook Time 15 minutes

Yield 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 dash onion powder
1 dash garlic powder
1 dash oregano
1 dash dried chives
2 teaspoons vegetable oil or 2 teaspoons olive oil, divided
1 pork chop

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 Sprinkle each ingredient onto the chop.
  • Drizzle 1 tsp of the oil on top of the chop, and rub it in with the back of a spoon or your finger.
  • Turn the chop over, and repeat on the other side.
  • Bake at 350 for 20 minutes (could be more or less- it all depends on the size of your chops).
  • Enjoy!

SPICE-RUBBED GRILLED PORK CHOPS RECIPE | EPICURIOUS
Dry rubs are also a terrific way to season pork chops. Select chops of close to an inch in thickness — nothing flimsy — then grill them over steady medium heat. We opt for rib chops over the center-cut variety when cooking outdoors because their greater fat content helps keep them moist, and we always prefer bone-in chops for their juiciness. You might add a barbecue sauce on the side with these, but we relish their crispy surface unvarnished.

  • Spray the chops with oil and transfer them to the grill. Grill for 18 to 20 minutes total. Turn onto each side twice, rotating the chops a half turn each time to get criss-cross grill marks. The chops are done when just a hint of pink remains at the center. Serve hot.

Aug 18, 2021 · Pork rub – Just mix the spices together. Keep it in an airtight container if you don’t plan to use it straight away. Season pork with rub – Pat the pork dry with paper towels.
