SEASONED CRISPY ROAST POTATOES – NINJA RECIPES UK
Really tasty and crispy roast potatoes perfect to go with a roast dinner or as a side to any meal

Steps:
- Add 300ml hot water to the pot
- Add the potatoes to the crisper basket and put on High Pressure for 1 minute. Quick release the steam when it is done.
- Remove the basket of potatoes and empty the water out of the pot. Leave the potatoes for 5 mins to cool, this helps to dry out the outside and makes the potatoes crispier.
- I use a separate colander to do the seasoning but you could do this in the crisper basket if you wanted to. Pour around 2 tablespoons of garlic infused oil OR 1 tablespoon garlic paste over the top of the potatoes, Sprinkle on the rosemary, thyme salt and pepper and toss the potatoes in the colander until the seasoning covers all of them.... (it is better to toss them than to use a spoon or it breaks the potatoes) If you use garlic paste spray the potatoes with a little oil now.
- Put the seasoned potatoes in the crisper basket and place inside the pot. Put on Air Crisp for 20 mins at 200 C Turn a couple of times during the 20 mins

Proper preparation steps were developed by McDonald's to minimize in-store preparation time, while producing a fry that is soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. This clone requires a two-step frying process to replicate the same qualities: the fries are par-fried, frozen, then fried once more to crispy just before serving. Be sure to use a slicer to cut the fries for a consistent thickness (1/4-inch is perfect) and for a cooking result that will make them just like the real thing. As for the rumor that you must soak the fries in sugar water to help them turn golden brown, I also found that not to be necessary. If the potatoes have properly developed they contain enough sugar on their own to make a good clone with great color.
