Number Of Ingredients 10

½ lb torn into 3-inches long and uncooked spaghetti
½ lb fresh, sliced, and sauteed mushrooms
5½ cups can be beef or vegetable broth chicken broth
½ cup margarine
2 cups uncooked brown rice
½ cup unsalted butter
8 oz drained and sliced water chestnuts
1 tsp soy sauce
? tsp chopped parsley
1 tbsp parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Melt your butter in a deep skillet over medium heat. Add both your spaghetti and rice. Saute until both the spaghetti and rice are evenly coated, and both are just starting to caramelize.
  • Remove the heat, then add the remaining ingredients and mix to combine.
  • Transfer the entire contents of your deep skillet into a baking casserole of your choice and bake for roughly 45 minutes or until both the rice and spaghetti are cooked through.
  • Serve immediately. Garnish with parmesan and parsley.

1 cup uncooked long grain rice
1/2 cup uncooked fine egg noodles or broken vermicelli (1-inch pieces)
2-3/4 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, heat butter over medium-high heat. Add rice and noodles; cook and stir for 3-4 minutes or until noodles are lightly browned. Stir in broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until broth is absorbed and rice is tender. Stir in parsley.
