5 Ingredient Monkey Bread is an ooey-gooey pull-apart roll with a caramel glaze that is as easy to make as it is yummy!

Number Of Ingredients 6

20 Rhodes dinner rolls, (frozen)
1 package (3.5 ounces) COOK & SERVE butterscotch dry pudding mix, (do not use instant)
½ cup (1 stick, 113g) melted butter
¾ cup (150g) brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
chopped nuts, (optional)

Steps:

  • Spray a 10-inch bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • If adding nuts, sprinkle them in the pan.
  • Add twenty frozen rolls around the pan.
  • Evenly spread the dry pudding mix over rolls.
  • In a medium bowl combine melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Pour evenly over rolls.
  • Leave on the counter, uncovered, overnight. (If you want to cover the rolls, spray a piece of plastic wrap with non-stick spray and loosely place it over the pan.)
  • When ready, preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake for 25-30 minutes. (If the top is getting too brown, loosely cover with aluminum foil.)
  • Immediately invert rolls onto a large plate. Serve and enjoy!

1 cup vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 dozen rhodes frozen cinnamon roll dough

Steps:

  • Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil for 2-3 minutes.
  • Let mixture cool.
  • Grease 8x10 pan.
  • Arrange frozen rolls in the pan.
  • Pour cooled mixture over rolls.
  • Lightly grease plastic wrap or aluminum foil and cover rolls.
  • Leave out overnight.
  • Preheat oven toe 350.
  • Cook 20-30 minutes.
  • When slightly cooled, frost with included icing.

Let rise until dough has swelled the bag. Cut the package open and remove dough. Place dough on pastry sheet and roll 2 loaves at a time into rectangle, approximately 12 x 14 inches x 1/2 inch thick. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll and seal; cut into slices, approximately 1/2 inch thick. Place on top of caramel mixture. Let rise until double (approximately 30 minutes). Bake at 350-400 degrees; 20 to 30 minutes. Don't over bake as caramel will harden.
