Air Fryer Burger: a simple way to make juicy hamburgers image

If you haven't been using your air fryer to make hamburgers, you've been missing out. Air fryer burgers are incredibly juicy and tender, with all the same great flavor of skillet burgers, but with far less hassle. There's less oil involved when using an air fryer, so this easy air fryer burger recipe is also slightly healthier, especially if you use lean ground beef.

Ground beef, 1 pound
Salt, 1/2 tsp
Pepper, 1/2 tsp
Onion powder, 1/2 tsp
Garlic powder, 1/4 tsp
Barbecue sauce, 1/4 cup
hamburger buns, 4
Toppings, as desired

Steps:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 370°F.
  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to combine.
  • Shape the mixture into patties. Make an indent in the center of each patty. Brush with barbecue sauce.
  • Arrange the patties in a single layer in the basket of the air fryer.
  • Cook for 6 minutes. Flip and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • If using, add cheese and cook for 1 minute. Remove and serve.

1-1/3 pounds ground beef
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Optional toppings: Lettuce leaves, sliced tomato, sliced onion, bacon and mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Shape ground beef into four 3/4-in.-thick patties. Just before grilling, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat until a thermometer reads 160°, 5-7 minutes on each side. Top bun bottoms with burgers. If desired, serve with lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon and mayonnaise., Pan-Fried Burgers: In a large skillet, heat 

    1 Tbsp. butter or oil over medium heat. Add burgers; cook until a thermometer reads 160°, 6-8 minutes on each side. 

    Oven-Baked Burgers: Place beef patties on a 
    lightly greased baking sheet. Bake them at 350° 
    until thermometer reads 160°, 15-20 minutes, turning once. 

    Air-Fried Burgers: Place burgers in a single layer on tray in air-fryer basket. Air-fry at 350° until a thermometer reads 160°, 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through cooking.
