Number Of Ingredients 4

One 11-ounce tube refrigerated French bread dough
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
8 slices prosciutto
Olive oil, for brushing

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the French bread dough and sprinkle with the pepper. Cover with the prosciutto. Roll into a log and twist, pulling and shaping it into an 8-inch ring. Pinch the ends together. 
  • Place on the prepared baking sheet, brush with the oil and bake until golden, 20 minutes. Brush with more oil; bake 5 more minutes. Remove from the oven and brush with more oil before serving.

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 (1 pound) loaves frzn bread dough
1 pound capacola ham (any ham will do)
3/4 pound Provolone cheese, sliced thin
1/2 pound salami, not hard, sliced thin
1/2 pound pepperoni, thin sliced
12 ounce Mozzarella cheese
Grey Poupon (or possibly yellow mustard, garlic salt, oregano)

Steps:

  • Let bread thaw and roll each loaf into a rectangle approximately 12 x 8 inches. Spread with mustard layer the loaves with the above ingredients in the order given. Sprinkle with a little garlic salt and oregano. Pull the two long sides up and form a seam down the length of the loaf. (I roll it like a jelly roll it stays together better.)Fold up the ends and pinch. Place seam side down on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min or possibly till golden brown. Remove from oven and place on cutting board (let drain for a couple min) and slice. May be frzn after baking and reheated.

THE GARBAGE PLATE (BURGER VERSION) RECIPE - FOOD.COM
If you are from the Rochester area that phrase would make your mouth water. This is any drunk college kids best friend. It is a mixture of meat, carbs, and more carbs piled onto a foam container found in Nick Tahou's and "hots" food joints all over the Rochester area. For about 6 bucks (including tip) you get this plate plus a soda, not too shabby. They have a veggie version, fish, and my favorite--the white hot version. When I left the Rochester to go to school the first thing I would do when I came home was got to a "hots" and order a garbage plate. Also dont expect to finish this unless you are drunk. (I put the direct link on here before but it messed up the rest of the recipe for some reason, so youre gonna have to do it the hard way lol) Also times are approx. if you make your own sauce or not. Also to speed things up I use Recipe #226112 for the potatoes. This recipe is scaled to one, but it can really feed at least four people.... but whats the fun in sharing a garbage plate??
