Quick, easy and so delicious! You can find prosciutto ham at your neighborhood or grocery store deli. Serve with a tossed green salad and crusty Italian bread. Add some grated cheese to your dish, if you desire added flavor!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 (16 ounce) package farfalle pasta
¼ pound thinly sliced prosciutto, chopped
¾ cup dry white wine
1 pound tomatoes, seeded and diced
1 cup frozen green peas, thawed
¼ cup butter
½ cup finely diced onion
ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • In a large pot of boiling salted water cook farfalle until al dente. Drain.
  • Meanwhile, in a large skillet saute onion in butter or margarine until soft and tender. Add prosciutto and saute with onion 2 minutes. Add dry white wine and let simmer for 2 additional minutes. Add thawed tomatoes, peas, and ground black pepper; stir well. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a large bowl toss drained farfalle pasta with prosciutto mixture. Serve warm.

1 cup uncooked bow tie pasta
1-1/2 teaspoons butter
2-1/4 teaspoons olive oil
1-1/2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
Dash salt
Dash dried basil
Dash crushed red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons 2% milk
2 tablespoons chicken broth
1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon sour cream

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in the oil, flour, garlic and seasonings until blended. Gradually add the milk, broth and water. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes., Remove from the heat; stir in cheese and sour cream. Drain pasta; toss with sauce.
