Vegan Quinoa Smoothie Recipe with Banana - Vegans First image

Quinoa is derived from plants and is therefore a great source of protein for vegans (who don’t rely on animal fat for protein). Here’s how you can include quinoa in your morning breakfast smoothie and add a dash of health to taste for a perfect filling meal.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 qt Banana
1/4 qt Carrot
1/4 cup Fresh pineapple
1/4 cup Quinoa (cooked and cooled to room temperature)
1 g Cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger
1 cup Almond milk (or any alternative cruelty-free milk from this list)
4 qt Ice cubes
1 tbsp Coconut (unsweetened, toasted)
2 tsp Raisins
2 tsp Walnuts

Steps:

  • Put banana, carrots, pineapple, quinoa, spices, almond milk, and ice cubes into a blender
  • Blend well until the mixture turns to smooth consistency
  • Pour the smoothie in a glass
  • Garnish with coconut, raisins, and walnuts and Serve chilled

1 large ripe plum (pitted and cut into chunks)
1/2 large frozen banana
1/4 cup cooked quinoa
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
4 or 5 large ice cubes

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
