Marshmallow Pumpkin Pie Recipe: How to Make It image

This was one of my mom's favorite pie recipes. She was a great cook and was always generous with her recipes, yet she rarely shared this special one. —Ruth Ferris, Billings, Montana

Yield 8 servings.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 package (10 ounces) large marshmallows
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 cups whipped topping
1 graham cracker crust (9 inches)
Additional whipped topping, optional

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine the first six ingredients; cook and stir over medium heat 8-10 minutes or until marshmallows are melted. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature., Fold in whipped topping. Spoon into crust. Refrigerate 3 hours or until set. If desired, serve with additional whipped topping.

This is a great fall recipe to use at any holiday party! It has a wonderful sweet pumpkin flavor with a smooth texture! I like to serve the dip in a small, hollowed-out pumpkin and surround it with graham crackers and vanilla wafers for dipping!

1 (15 ounce) can solid-pack pumpkin
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
½ (16 ounce) tub marshmallow fluff
1 (5 ounce) package vanilla pudding mix
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Steps:

  • Combine pumpkin, whipped topping, marshmallow fluff, pudding mix, and pumpkin pie spice in a large bowl; beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Place in the refrigerator and let chill for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

  • Grease a 9" pie dish with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, combine graham crackers, melted butter, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Place over medium heat and cook, stirring, until marshmallows are melted and combined. Remove from heat and scrape into a large bowl.
