HONEY PORK STIR-FRY RECIPE - FOOD.COM

Honey Pork Stir-Fry Recipe - Food.com image

A recipe from one of those small community cookbooks that we have modified for our tastes by cutting the amount of meat in half and adding extra veggies! Like any stir-fry, this one is very versatile and you could use almost any veggies that you like. We have also added baby corn and red bell pepper before. *Updated: The review by LARavenscroft reminded me that we usually do 1.5 times or double the amount of sauce, depending on the amount of veggies we are using, so please update accordingly if you feel it needs more sauce.

  • In a small pot, cook rice according to package instructions.  Meanwhile, pat pork dry with a paper towel and add to a medium bowl. Season with salt and toss with cornflour until coated. In the bowl of a mini food processor, pulse garlic, anchovy, ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, and pepper until blended; set aside. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 teaspoon oil. Cook mange tout and bell pepper until tender, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a plate. Return skillet to high heat and add remaining 1 tablespoon oil. When oil is almost smoking, add pork. Cooked until no longer pink and crispy, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium heat, then return vegetables and add half the sauce to the pan. Stir quickly to coat pork and vegetables in glaze. (Be careful—the sauce can burn due to the sugar.) Add remaining half sauce until you reach your desired sauciness.  Garnish with spring onions and serve with steamed rice.

PORK-AND-GREEN BEAN STIR-FRY RECIPE | MYRECIPES
Pork-and-Green Bean Stir-Fry is table-ready in just 20 minutes. The key to this one-dish meal s developing a nice char on the green beans. To do so, heat the oil in your skillet until it almost smokes before adding the beans. Let them sear, stirring every 20 to 30 seconds, and they'll take on color. Feel free to sub thinly sliced strips of red bell pepper instead of hot chiles.
