Provided by Vlad Popa

Total Time 30 minutes

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 14

7 ounces of pork mince
½ onion, chopped
1 spring onion, chopped
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons of olive oil
4 cups of vegetable stock
1 vegetable stock cube
1 tablespoon fish sauce
5 ounces of noodle
red chili
parsley

Steps:

  • Place the pork mince in a large bowl, and add both onion and spring onion.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Add the brown sugar and pour a touch of olive oil. Mix to combine the ingredients.

Total Time 30 minutes

Yield 2

Number Of Ingredients 7

150 grams Lean meat
1 piece Tofu skin
Right amount Lard residue
2 scoops salt
Right amount Garlic ginger
a little Corn flour
a little Chicken Essence

Steps:

  • Take a piece of tofu skin and soak it in cold water.
  • Let it soak for about 3 minutes, and then it will be on the left side, then pick it up and drain it and set aside for later use.
  • Use a meat grinder or manually break up the lean meat, you can add some fat to taste better. After the lean meat is minced, chop the ginger and garlic into minced pieces and stir together, add some salt, chicken essence, and light soy sauce.
  • Bring the water to a boil and add the meatballs. After boiling again, cook on a low heat for about 15 minutes. At this time, it is basically OK~ Put the soaked tofu skin and cook for 5-8 minutes. Remember to add the right amount of salt and chicken essence during the process
  • You can sprinkle some chopped green onions when you start the pot, it will feel more fresh and beautiful, of course, if you don't like eating green onions, you can leave it alone!
  • Because the lard residue was boiled on the same day, I put it in the soup and boiled it together. If not, the soup directly cooked is also delicious!

THAI RICE SOUP WITH PORK-CILANTRO MEATBALLS RECIPE - NYT ...
Jok, also called congee, is a rice porridge that’s like the oatmeal of Asia -- a soft, soothing, filling breakfast that can be sparked with add-ins and toppings for flavor and crunch. Before dawn in Bangkok, jok vendors begin the battle to make the juiciest meatballs, the tiniest ginger matchsticks and the liveliest pickled fresh chiles. This recipe, which also makes a great lunch on a chilly weekend morning, is adapted from two cooks: Leela Punyaratabandhu, author of Simple Thai Food, who makes a vendor-style, puddingy jok; and Chrissy Teigen, the Thai-American supermodel, who makes a simpler version, adapted from her mother Vilaluck’s home recipe.
