1 tablespoon oil
1 lb. pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch slices
1 cup julienne-cut (2x1/8x1/8-inch) carrots
1 cup sliced onions
4 medium baking potatoes, peeled, cubed
3 tablespoons chicken-flavor instant bouillon
1 teaspoon dried pork seasoning
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
4 1/4 cups water
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups thinly sliced cabbage

Steps:

  • Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium heat until hot. Add pork, carrots and onions; cook until pork is browned. Drain.
  • Add potatoes, bouillon, pork seasoning, vinegar and 4 cups of the water; mix well. Simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In small bowl, combine remaining 1/4 cup water and flour; beat with wire whisk until well blended. Add flour mixture and cabbage to stew; mix well. Cover; simmer an additional 10 minutes or until stew is thickened, stirring occasionally.

pork - 32 oz (900 g)
potatoes - 3 lb (1.3 kg)
carrots - 2 - 3
garlic - 4 - 5 cloves
broth - 1 cube, your choice of flavor
bay leaf - 1
paprika - 1 tsp
black pepper - 1/2 tsp
oil - 1/3 cup (80 ml)
flour - a bit, if needed for thickening

Steps:

  • Cut the pork into cubes, peel the potatoes and cut them as well. Heat the oil in a pot and put the pork in to fry well. Then add the chopped garlic and carrots. If desired, add 1 onion head. Mix and leave to get braised.
  • Top up with hot water, enough to cover the products , add the bay leaf and broth and stew until the meat is slightly tender. Then add the potatoes and if necessary, top it up with more water. Leave everything to boil until ready. Separately, make a roux with a little oil, paprika and flour.
  • Dilute the roux with a little of the sauce and add it to the dish. Season it with spices and remove it from the heat.
