Ingredients

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for greasing dish
10 caramel candies (such as Kraft)
1 (10-oz.) pkg. marshmallows
12 cups popped popcorn (from 1 [5-oz.] pkg., such as Smartfood Smart 50 Sea Salt Popcorn)
¾ teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium. Add caramels and 2 tablespoons water. Cook, stirring often with a silicone spatula, until caramels melt completely, about 3 minutes. Add marshmallows. Cook, stirring constantly, until smooth, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Working quickly, fold in popcorn and kosher salt until coated. Press into a lightly greased (with butter) 13- x 9-inch baking dish, and let stand until completely set, about 10 minutes. Cut into 18 bars, and serve. Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 1 week.
