This is a no-nonsense recipe for corn on the cob. Perfect for when you run out of stove or grill space. I freeze the corn on the cob in plastic bags, and remove a single ear of frozen corn in the cold winter months to have the sweet taste of summer corn throughout the year!

1 ear corn, husked and cleaned

Steps:

  • Wet a paper towel, and wring out. Wrap the ear of corn in the moist towel, and place on a dinner plate. Cook in the microwave for 5 minutes. Carefully remove paper towel, and enjoy!

I love corn but hate a really bad ear of corn. Last week I sent My hubby out to pick up a few things at the store, corn was one of them. what we got was just awful. Here are a few hints that my hubby knew nothing about.

  • Then buying corn on the cob whether you shuck it or not pull a part down and stick your nail into the Kernel. If it spilts open with a burst buy it if not move on.
  • Once you have a great ear of corn home here are two ways to cook a wonderful and perfectially done ear of corn.
  • 1. Cooking in a pot on top of stove: Put water in a large pot enough to cover and then some. Add corn and heat to boiling cover and turn off pot. wait 15-20 minutes and serve.
  • 2. BBQ Grill: bring home corn still in its husk. Cut the extra hair part from top and soak the husk and all in cool water for 10-20 minutes befor BBQing. Just place them on the grill in a lower setting and turn every few minutes while the other stuff is cooking. Your corn will steam in its husk.
  • Great flavored butters for corn. For every stick of butter add the following to creat these masterpieces and mix well. A. Sweet Pleasures 2 tablespoons maple syrup 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon sea salt B. Touch of Italy 2 tablespoons garlic powder with parsley 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning 1/2 teaspoon sea salt C. Cheese lovers 2 tablespoons parmeasan cheese from shaker 1/2 teaspoon Garlic salt D. Taco Mania 2 tablespoon taco seasoning
