16 ounces pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups pepperoni, diced
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
12 hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400F degrees.
  • Saute ground beef in nonstick skillet until no longer pink.
  • Add pizza sauce.
  • Cook on low for 2 minutes.
  • Spread bun halves on cookie sheet.
  • Top with sauce, pepperoni and mozzarella.
  • Sprinkle with parmesan.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 small green bell pepper, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 jar (14 oz) pepperoni-flavored or regular pizza sauce
1/2 cup sliced ripe olives, if desired
6 sandwich buns, split
1 cup shredded pizza cheese blend (4 oz)

Steps:

  • In 10-inch skillet, cook beef, onion and bell pepper over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain.
  • Stir in pizza sauce and olives. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
  • Spoon about 1/2 cup beef mixture on bottom half of each bun. Immediately sprinkle each with 2 tablespoons of the cheese; add tops of bun. Serve immediately or let stand about 2 minutes until cheese is melted.
