Pita pockets are easy to eat and you can stuff them with literally anything. Chicken Cucumber Pita Pocket Abigail Wilkins This protein-packed pita can be made in five minutes. Cook some chicken on Sunday so you can have filling sandwiches all week.

Number Of Ingredients 23

4 pita bread each divided into two
1/2 kg boneless chicken
For marination:
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oil
to taste salt
1 tbsp chilli sauce
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp yogurt
1 tsp zeera powder
1 tsp vinegar
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp chicken powder
Other:
1 seed less chopped tomato
1 chopped carrot
1 chopped capsicum
1 sliced onion
1 cup grated cabbage
As needed yogurt dip sauce

Steps:

  • In a bowl add oil, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder
  • Add soy sauce and to taste salt
  • Add chilli sauce and vinegar
  • Addzeera powder, chicken powder
  • Add yogurt and ketchup
  • Now mix well and make a paste. apply on washed chicken pieces
  • Now marinate for 12 hrs
  • In an another pan take oil and add marinated chicken and cook till chicken soft n tender.
  • Now assembled pita bread pocket. for this purpose divided each pita bread into two equal piece.
  • Wash and chop all vegetables separately.
  • Nkw fry all vegetables in light oil.
  • Add black pepper powder in it and mix well.
  • Add soy sauce, vinegar and cooked chicken. mix well n off flame.
  • Now assembled by keeping all vegetables and chicken in bread pocket. topping with yogurt sauce/dip
  • Serve with yogurt dip
  • Enjoy!

Chicken Pita Filling

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 tablespoon solid ghee (Clarified butter)
2 tablespoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon ground green chillies
1 teaspoon ground garlic
1 ½ teaspoon rough salt
2 teaspoon dhana Jeeru (Cumin) powder
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 kg chicken fillet finely cubed
3 carrots grated
1 yellow/ red pepper finely diced
1 tray baby marrow

Steps:

  • Heat ghee and ginger, add chicken and sautee. When sealed add spices, lemon and chilli. Cook halfway, then add veggies. Add water as needed. Cook until chicken is done. Spoon into toasted pita pockets. Drizzle sauce of choice.
