I searched for months for a recipe that tastes the same if not better than the store-bought pita chips. After many attempts, I found what everyone seems to think are perfect pita chips! They take barely any time to prepare and go great with spinach artichoke dip! Add Italian seasoning, herbs, or Parmesan cheese for a twist!

1 package pita pockets
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Brush one side of each piece pita pocket with olive oil. Sprinkle the garlic powder, salt, and garlic salt over the pita pockets. Slice each pocket into 4 even triangles.
  • Bake in preheated oven until the triangles turn a light brown color, 15 to 20 minutes.

"Tasty all by themselves, and even better dipped into homemade hummus! So much better than store-bought, and so easy and quick to make, that you'll never buy commercial pita chips again!"

1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Garlic granules
2 teaspoons Onion powder
2 teaspoons Oregano
1 teaspoon Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
6 6-inch Pita breads

Steps:

  • "Preheat oven to 400F. Mix the garlic powder, garlic granules, onion powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small container (there will be some left over, so a spice jar makes a good container). One at a time, brush the pita breads with olive oil, cut into 8 wedges (same pattern as cutting a pie or a pizza). Arrange the pita wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet, and sprinkle with the seasoning mix. Bake in a 400F oven for 10 minutes."
